      Promptopus launches

      The first version of Promptopus checks AI crawler access, readable content, structured data, sitemaps and llms.txt, plus product data, prices, reviews, shipping and returns for online shops.

      Promptopus checks whether AI assistants such as ChatGPT search, Google’s AI Overviews and AI Mode, Microsoft Copilot, Claude and Perplexity can reach, read and understand a website.

      • Access: robots.txt rules for the AI search crawlers (OAI-SearchBot, Claude-SearchBot, PerplexityBot, Googlebot and Bingbot), kept separate from AI training crawlers; noindex and nosnippet; Cloudflare.
      • Content: text in the HTML without JavaScript, title, description and headings.
      • Structured data: Organization and LocalBusiness details.
      • Discovery: XML sitemap and llms.txt.
      • Online shops: product data, price consistency, reviews, shipping and returns.
