Ratings are one of the things AI shopping tools use to choose between products. Most review widgets load with JavaScript after the page appears, so AI crawlers never see your stars unless the rating is also in your product data.
1. Find the setting in your review app
Most review apps have a setting called rich snippets, SEO or Google structured data. Switch it on. Apps such as Judge.me, Yotpo, REVIEWS.io, Okendo and Stamped all offer something similar, sometimes on a particular plan.
2. Avoid duplicates
If your theme already adds product data, the app may add a second, separate product. Ask your developer to make sure there’s one product with the rating inside it.
3. Test it
Paste a product page into Google’s Rich Results Test and look for a review snippet on the product. Then run Promptopus again.
For your developer
Ensure the review app outputs aggregateRating (ratingValue, reviewCount) inside the Product JSON-LD, server-rendered. Avoid duplicate Product nodes from the theme and the app; merge into one.
